Shane and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary today! We slept in, had a some great guacamole and mexican food for lunch and are going to a movie tonight.....it's been fun relaxing doing our favorite things together.
The real celebration was last night. We did one of the things we love to do most, enjoy good food with good friends. Some of our dearest friends were not able to make it to our wedding last year in Santa Fe. Because we missed them last year, we thought we'd celebrate with them this year! Stay tuned this week for what was served for "Dinner at the Becks"! It was a great meal and a great time!
In the meantime, i thought I'd re-post this entry about our wedding from last spring. After all spring is wedding season!
Shane,
To many more years of bliss!!!

Rosanne
This past spring Rosanne(CMH owner and Artist) and Shane tied the knot!
She is now officially Rosanne Beck, and we wish her all the BEST!
Below are some of the details from the wedding. And be on the LOOKOUT for a Wedding Collection inspired by her own invitations to be introduced Spring 2008!
The ristra- these were sent out as save-the-dates to invited guests. Each one was wrapped in tissue paper, stamped with a monogram sticker, and wrapped in a box (like a parcel) with twine around it.
The invitation- all of the pieces were custom designed, engraved, and tied with a beautiful double-faced satin ribbon. (The envelopes and tag were
also done in calligraphy.)
The welcome box- given to each guest upon arrival at their hotel. Every box contained bottled water, custom-made monogrammed cups, Sante Fe trail mix, salsa and chips, weekend itinerary, and newsletter with the couple's favorite places to visit in the area.
The church- St. Elias the Prophet Greek Orthodox church near El Dorado, NM (on the side of the mountain- gorgeous view!)
The programs- also custom made with a die-cut circle that reveals a monogram letter printed on the double-sided inner-card.
The children- of the bride, Maid of Honor Madeleine, flower girl Grace, and Gunnar (who escorted his mother down the aisle).
The "stefana"- the traditional wedding crowns used in a Greek wedding ceremony.
The name cards- nestled in a beautiful basket lined with flowers and moss, adorned with sheer butterflies. These were also done in beautiful calligraphy.
The flowers- a lovely combination of orchids, peonies, roses, ranunculus, white lilies and tulips, and ivy.
The reception- held at the Gerald Peters Art Gallery in Santa Fe. The lighting was perfect and there were plenty of conversation pieces on the walls!
The cake- simple fondant carrot cake with orange and pomegranate medley, decorated with tiny painted butterflies(the couple share an affinity for butterflies due to sentimental reasons- they went to the butterfly gardens in New York during the trip they became engaged).
The cupcakes- chocolate or vanilla buttercream cup cakes, also decorated with tiny butterflies and displayed on an elegant, decorative glass stand.
The table- the table card, menu, and place cards were all custom made to match in the invitations.
The favors- small pillow boxes with candy-coated almonds and a description of what the "koufeta" represents. The favors were also placed in a flower box for guests to take as they departed.
The dancing- your usual wedding dancing, plus a few lively, traditional Greek dances as well!
